In order to detect and monitor the machining accuracy of straight bevel gears for automotive differential mechanisms, the author used two measuring cones prepared by different measuring ridgeline manufacturing processes on the bevel gear overall error measuring instrument used in Qingdao Precision Forging Gear Factory. The gears were researched and tested on the factory-produced precision forged straight bevel gears.
