The flatness of the impeller back plate can be known as the impeller deformation degree. The measurement result is that the curvature of the impeller edge to the center of the impeller is 1-2 mm, and the individual points are up to 3 mm.

During the entire production process, all operations were basically in place, but when the welding was completed, there was still a slight warpage at the edge of the impeller. According to the process design, the thickness of the bottom plate blank is 8mm, and the machining allowance of 3mm is reserved. That is to say, the deformation value is controlled within the allowable range, and the deformation can be basically eliminated by machining. The second is the quality of the weld. After the weld was polished, no obvious weld defects were found. The third is the size of the impeller. After the impeller is finished, all dimensions are in accordance with the drawings. The fourth is dynamic balance, using the weight method to do dynamic balance debugging, the results meet the requirements.

After the newly developed impeller is put into operation, the actual operation test shows that the fan runs smoothly and has no severe vibration. The noise test is 50-55 decibels; the motor is rated at 76A, and the running current is about 48A, which is basically the same as the imported impeller. It has been running smoothly for three years and has exceeded the service life of imported impellers.

After the newly developed impeller is put into operation, the service life has been better than that of imported; it saves considerable cost; the welding process, cooling process and special tooling design used in the development process make the welding deformation in a controllable range, thus avoiding the use of tradition. The tendency of the workpiece crack caused by the mechanical correction deformation method provides a reference for the welding deformation control and crack control of similar stainless steel workpieces.
