Drew Gresik responded to a MABAS 2nd Alarm this evening in Brookfield and shared these photos and details of the incident. A fire was reported coming from the garage of a two-story ordinary residence located on Rosemear in the 3500 block. The flames quickly destroyed the garage and spread into the main structure, escalating the situation to a 2-alarm response. As the fire continued to grow, it was upgraded to a full MABAS Division 10 call, with additional units from Divisions 11, 20, and 21 also arriving on scene. Firefighters stretched four lines and worked aggressively to contain the blaze, with nearly all available crews engaged in the operation. The fire caused significant damage to the home, with the roof partially collapsed and the garage completely gutted. Several apparatus were staged along the street, including engines, trucks, and specialty units from surrounding departments.
