Composite Autoclave Basic Introduction

Composite Autoclaves are essential tools in the manufacturing of advanced composite materials. They are widely used in applications involving metal and non-metal bonding structures, as well as high-strength resin-based composites such as glass fiber, carbon fiber, boron fiber, aramid fiber, and epoxy resin. These machines allow for the curing of composite materials under vacuum conditions by applying heat and pressure. The autoclave molding process involves placing a composite blank, honeycomb sandwich structure, or adhesive-sealed structure in a mold with a vacuum bag, then subjecting it to heating, pressurizing, temperature and pressure control, and cooling under vacuum (or partial vacuum) conditions. This method is one of the most common techniques for forming composite structures, honeycomb sandwiches, and bonded metal or composite parts. The uniform temperature and pressure environment provided by the autoclave ensures that complex, large-area materials with high surface quality can be produced effectively.
The curing of composite matrix resins depends not only on the molecular structure of the resin but also on other components like curing agents and crosslinking promoters. External factors such as temperature, pressure, and time play a crucial role in the curing process. These three elements are typically referred to as the main process parameters. Each autoclave molding method is designed based on the changes in the molecular structure of the matrix resin, and the autoclave must have the ability to precisely control these parameters.

Safe & Reliable

1. Equipped with a safety valve that maintains the seal under normal working pressure. If the internal pressure exceeds the safe limit, the valve automatically releases gas to reduce the pressure to the set value, ensuring tank safety.
2. Automatic pressure control: When the pressure reaches the set value, the re-starting valve closes automatically. If it exceeds, the exhaust valve opens to release pressure.

3. Overpressure and overheating alarms with sound and light alerts.


4. Safety devices check the pressure between the door and the tank to prevent accidents.

5. Appliance chain prevents accidental operations.


6. Door closure interlock with residual pressure alarm; door opening/closing interlock with safety connection device; tank door interlock functions.

7. Switch and tank door interlock, screw and pressurization interlock, fan and cooling water/temperature switch interlock, gasket pressure control interlock, heating and fan interlock. These features provide automatic protection even in case of incorrect operations.
