Hankook Tire plans to expand its truck business

Recently, in order to further expand the truck tire business in Europe, Hankook Tire has further upgraded its light/medium truck tires, in particular steering wheel tire AH11 and drive wheel tire DH05.

According to reports, the rolling resistance of truck tires after optimization and upgrade has been greatly reduced, and it has excellent handling, strong braking force and good durability. AH11 and DH05 will provide support for the new Mercedes-Benz Atego models that meet Euro 6 emission standards. The upgraded steering wheel tire AH11 can prevent uneven wear of the tire and has good durability. The driving wheel tire DH05 is suitable for midway transportation and has stable performance under different road conditions and weather conditions.

Just like the passenger vehicle supporting business, Hankook Tire's truck supporting business is also expanding in major global markets, including the high-end long-distance heavy truck market. It is reported that in 2012, Hankook Tire provided tires for two of the flagship models of the global medium and heavy truck giant Daimler Trucks, Freightna Cascadia and Coronado.

Xu Chenghe, vice president and chief executive officer of Hankook Tire, said: "The support for Mercedes-Benz Atego marks the second time that Hankook's high-quality tire products have been recognized. We hope to manufacture more trucks worldwide. The company has established a partnership and is looking forward to making greater progress in the global high-end truck tire market."
