Since the 1990s, the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics and Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. have jointly developed the MTO technology and engineering complete sets of technologies. In August 2004, the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Luoyang Petrochemical Engineering Co., Ltd. and Shaanxi Xinxing Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. jointly signed a cooperation agreement for the “Methanol to Olefins Industrialization Test Project†and began the construction of industrialized experimental devices. Faced with the difficulties of new project technology, difficult engineering design, and short project cycle, all project personnel have sincerely cooperated and completed the project's complete set of technology development, design and construction.
The test results show that this test not only achieved the first-phase goal of opening the whole process, but also achieved a high conversion rate of methanol, and accumulated valuable experience for the promotion and application of this process technology.
