Miao Wei pointed out that manufacturing is the commanding height of global economic competition, and intelligent manufacturing has become the main direction of global manufacturing development. To respond to a new round of scientific and technological revolutions and industrial changes, it is necessary to build a manufacturing power. The "13th Five-Year Plan" period is a crucial period for China's manufacturing industry to improve quality and increase efficiency, and to change from strong to strong. It is necessary to adjust and revitalize the real economy around the structure, implement the “Made in China 2025†in depth, optimize the new modern industrial system, and make systematic arrangements for the implementation of the strategy of building a strong nation on the Internet and expanding the space for cyber economy.
Miao Wei proposed that intelligent transformation is the key to building a manufacturing power. The realization of "digital, networking, and intelligent" manufacturing is a new trend in the development of manufacturing, and is also the core of a new round of scientific and technological revolutions and industrial changes. In order to promote the development of smart manufacturing, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has worked with relevant departments to formulate and publish the “Guidelines for the Implementation of Smart Manufacturing Projects†and launched special operations for the construction of smart manufacturing standards and pilot demonstrations for smart manufacturing. At present, we are intensifying the preparation of the “13th Five-Year†development plan for smart manufacturing to study the ideas, goals, and promotion priorities and paths for China’s smart manufacturing development in the next five years in order to guide the local, industry orderly realization of the digitization, networking, and intelligence of the manufacturing industry. .
