On Monday, February 9, 2015, Northbrook firefighters were called to a fire at 2225 Greenview Road early in the morning. Upon arrival, they observed heavy smoke rising from the roof of a large, one- and two-story home featuring a flat roof. The incident was classified as a working fire, prompting an upgrade to Code 4, which brought additional units from neighboring departments in Northfield and Glenview to assist in the response.
The fire was quickly brought under control, with no reported injuries. Firefighters worked efficiently to ensure the structure was fully extinguished and to prevent any further spread. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by local authorities.
Several photos from the scene were taken by Tim Olk and Larry Shapiro, capturing the efforts of the responding crews. These images show firefighters on the scene, as well as a Pierce Velocity tower ladder and a HME Sle fire engine being deployed. The photos provide a visual account of the swift and coordinated response by emergency personnel.
Residents in the area were advised to remain cautious and stay informed about any updates from local authorities. No evacuations were reported, but fire officials reminded the community to be prepared in case of emergencies.
