On July 1, the evaluation results of the second batch of C-NCAP models in 2014 were officially released. A total of seven models participated in the test: Arrizo 7, Mazda CX-5, Cadillac XTS 28T, 2014 Koleo, Zhishang XT, Fengshen and DS5, all achieved good results of five stars.
The seven models evaluated in this batch were purchased directly by the C-NCAP Management Center from each model store, and the total cost of car purchase was 4.23 million yuan. The tests for these seven models began on April 22 and ended on June 26, and each vehicle was tested and evaluated in strict accordance with the C-NCAP (2012 edition) rules. The seven models that released the evaluation results were all newly developed models within two years, and the overall performance was better. The configuration rate of various safety equipment on the test vehicle is nearly 100%. At the same time, among these evaluation models, the proportion of safety equipment such as ESC and side safety air curtains is increasing in each model series, and some models are already standard. . The continuous improvement of the proportion of these safety equipments has positively promoted the improvement of vehicle safety performance and the effective protection of occupants.
According to reports, the third batch of evaluation trials in 2014 will continue on July 8. For the study of the rules, the C-NCAP Management Center has completed the new 2015 version of the draft Exposure Draft and has been published on the C-NCAP official website. The 2015 version of the rules clearly does not change the C-NCAP scoring system. Apart from the details and modifications, only the individual indicators of the crash test are adjusted, the whipping test scoring method is adjusted, and the driver's seat belt reminder and ISOFIX are cancelled. The extra points of the device are clearly included in the evaluation of vehicles with only front seats. After the implementation of the new version, the C-NCAP management rules will become more and more strict, and the difficulty of scoring will increase accordingly. The 2015 version of the rules will be finalized and officially released during the year and is expected to be officially implemented next year.
According to the relevant person in charge of the C-NCAP Management Center, since June 1st, the Management Center has officially started the evaluation of the vehicle restraint system for vehicles. The child restraint system evaluation of the vehicle uses the dynamic performance test of the trolley and the comprehensive evaluation method using the convenient performance to score and classify the child seat product. According to the rules, a series of preliminary work such as product selection, purchase, and confirmation are currently underway. The product dynamic performance test will begin in August, and the evaluation results are expected to be released before the end of this year.
