This is from Steve Redick.

Recently, I responded to a call at a building that didn’t look like much on the fire front, but there were a few interesting things going on. The structure was in really bad shape—several sections of the roof had already collapsed before the fire, and access was extremely limited. It’s kind of ironic that it wasn’t even marked as a red X building. Despite the challenges, I managed to capture some video and photos of a Chicago stripping ladder being used as a battering ram to break through plywood window coverings. That’s a unique tool specific to Chicago; it's not typically used for climbing but more for removing roofing materials during ventilation. It’s an effective piece of equipment worth noting.
Class A foam was also used at this incident, which is pretty standard now. The crew had a spare snorkel, and even though it wasn’t fully deployed, there were some good rig shots available. Overall, it was a solid response with some interesting tools and tactics in play.
