3. Once the screws are out, use a door removal tool or a flathead screwdriver to gently pry open the plastic clips holding the panel in place. You should hear a clicking sound as you release these clips.
4. Lift the door panel upward and detach it from the vehicle. Be cautious of the wiring harness connecting the power window and door lock switches to the interior door. Disconnect this connection.
5. Afterward, you’ll notice a plastic shroud. Carefully peel it back to expose the window and regulator.
6. Swap out the old regulator with the new one.

Fixing a Window That’s Come Off Track

Another potential issue is the window coming off its track. Although this is less common, it can happen as the door ages over time.

If both your door locks and windows are nonfunctional, there’s a good chance the fuse is blown. The fuse labeled “door lock/window” inside the fuse box manages both systems. In this case, simply replace the faulty fuse with a new one.
