According to reports, firefighters from Arlington Heights were dispatched to a building after detecting smoke on Wednesday, November 4th, 2020, at 2415 Kennicott Drive. Upon arrival, they upgraded the situation to a Code 4. A small fire was found in one of the second-floor units, which was quickly brought under control. However, there was significant smoke damage throughout the building. Additional support came in from neighboring departments, including Buffalo Grove Quint 25, Rolling Meadows Quint 82, and Prospect Heights Battalion 9. The Buffalo Grove team also climbed onto the roof to create several ventilation openings, which helped manage the smoke and improve conditions for firefighting operations.
