Autodesk is enhancing its BIM 360 platform by integrating Assemble Systems' preconstruction software, streamlining workflows for construction professionals.

SAN RAFAEL, CA, July 9, 2018 — Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) has announced the acquisition of Assemble Systems, a Salem, Massachusetts-based company that offers a SaaS solution designed to help construction professionals manage and connect BIM data across key project workflows such as estimating, scheduling, and site management. The integration of Assemble Systems’ tools into Autodesk’s BIM 360 platform is expected to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of preconstruction planning.

“Joining the Autodesk family is an exciting step for Assemble Systems as we continue our mission to digitize and improve the construction industry,” said Andrew Anagnost, President and CEO of Autodesk. “By connecting design data with construction execution, we’re creating smarter cloud-based tools that make the early stages of a project more predictable and profitable.”

Preconstruction is a critical phase where automation and accurate data can significantly impact project success. By leveraging BIM models, teams can gain better visibility, boost productivity, and foster collaboration from the very beginning.

BIM 360 is a cloud-based platform that allows cross-industry teams to collaborate on shared designs throughout the entire project lifecycle, regardless of location or role. This open approach supports seamless coordination between designers, engineers, and contractors.

“As a long-time partner and investor in Assemble Systems, Autodesk has been instrumental in helping us drive innovation in the construction sector,” said Don Henrich, CEO of Assemble Systems. “We’re thrilled to join forces with Autodesk and expand the value of BIM data across all construction workflows.”

With over 174 unique customers operating across nearly 1,000 sites and working on more than 12,700 projects, Assemble Systems has already made a significant impact on the industry. Its client base includes one-fourth of the ENR 400 list, demonstrating its widespread adoption and effectiveness.
