From the moment you step into the Autodesk Dublin office, you're immediately immersed in a vibrant and energetic atmosphere. Just over 18 months ago, this team was just starting its journey as Autodesk’s EMEA hub, and now it's grown into a thriving center of innovation and collaboration. Join our team in Dublin and come shape the future of making with us. We chose Dublin for its dynamic global business environment, access to top-tier talent, multilingual capabilities, and an exceptional quality of life for employees. Over time, we've learned a lot, but one thing remains clear: Dublin is a vibrant, multicultural, and creative city that perfectly aligns with Autodesk’s values and culture. In just 18 months, we've grown from a small team to over 230 employees. Today, we're thrilled to announce the opening of a brand-new floor at our office on 1 Windmill Lane, doubling our capacity to 400 people. Earlier this year, we hosted Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland, and Minister Patrick Breen for our official new office opening and ribbon-cutting ceremony. This expansion is a testament to the strength of our team and the incredible talent available in Ireland. The city has a global appeal, drawing professionals from around the world. We now have over 30 nationalities working together under one roof, collaborating with Autodeskers and customers across the globe. Martin Gurren, Client Services Director and Site Lead for Autodesk in Dublin, reflects on the journey: “It’s been an incredible experience watching the team grow together and build a strong sense of community. This office plays a crucial role in supporting both our EMEA and global teams, helping us fulfill Autodesk’s mission to empower people to imagine, design, and make a better world.” Collaboration with IDA Ireland has been instrumental in our growth. Martin Shanahan, CEO of IDA Ireland, said: “Companies like Autodesk are drawn to Ireland because of its strong tech talent pool. It’s great to see them expanding again so quickly, doubling their capacity to 400. I’d like to congratulate the entire Autodesk team on this achievement.” Andrea Reger, Senior Recruiter at the office, leads our local talent acquisition efforts. Her team was recognized at the Irish HR Champion Awards 2019 for their outstanding Talent Acquisition Programme. “We’ve received tremendous support from the IDA and local business community. Understanding the Irish workforce, incentives, and practices has helped us create a welcoming environment for everyone, whether they’re local or international. Many employees also enjoy getting involved in community initiatives and education programs. We look forward to continuing this inclusive culture.” Over 100 employees participated in the Dublin Pride Parade in July 2019, showcasing our commitment to diversity and inclusion. Led by Michelle Rogers, the HR team in Ireland is driving an employee engagement program rooted in Autodesk’s evolving culture. They’ve introduced several initiatives focused on physical, mental, and social well-being. These programs will continue to evolve based on employee feedback. The Dublin office houses a wide range of functions, including R&D, engineering, localization, technical support, client services, sales, finance, operations, HR, and recruitment. Many of these teams are expected to grow in the coming years. Additionally, we're building a new team of marketing and business development representatives (BDRs) in Dublin to support our construction solutions in EMEA. Employees in Dublin took part in the Global Month of Impact in May through the Solar Buddy initiative, reflecting our commitment to making a positive difference. Raphael Racine, Senior Software Engineering Manager, relocated to Dublin after 22 years at Autodesk. “Moving here was a great professional and personal opportunity. Building an international engineering team and experiencing life in this amazing city with my family has been an incredible adventure.” The office was designed by Jenny Lum using Autodesk Revit, allowing her to visualize the space before construction began. Each floor incorporates familiar Autodesk designs while drawing inspiration from iconic elements of Dublin, such as the River Liffey, Georgian architecture, and local street art. One highlight of the new floor is the Product Experience Lab, where employees can experiment with Autodesk software, observe how customers use it, and participate in workshops to enhance their skills. It’s a collaborative space where teams can share knowledge and creativity. Employees will also have the chance to explore manufacturing tools like 3D printing in the lab. With our continued success in Ireland, EMEA, and globally, we're excited to expand the Dublin operation with more space and new talent. Attracting and retaining the right people is key to helping our customers solve design and manufacturing challenges across Ireland and beyond.
