Excerpts from woodtv.com:

Hundreds of police officers and firefighters from across the Midwest gathered in Kalamazoo to honor Comstock Township Fire Chief Ed Switalski, who was tragically killed last week after being struck by a vehicle during an emergency call. The community came together to pay their respects with a heartfelt funeral ceremony filled with tradition and deep emotion.

The event included full honors such as the presentation of a duty medal, a bell ceremony, the playing of Taps, a flag-folding ceremony, and a 21-gun salute. Every speaker at the service highlighted one common trait about Chief Switalski: his selfless nature and deep care for others. His family shared touching stories of his kindness, like how he supported his aunt through cancer and even donated a kidney to his nephew when needed.

Switalski is survived by his wife and two daughters. One of them, Emily, spoke at the funeral, recalling how they would always say “I love you” before each of his calls. Those were the last words she ever said to him, adding a deeply emotional moment to the day.

A massive procession took place, with hundreds of firefighters from Michigan, Indiana, and Illinois joining the event. A restored 1937 fire truck carried his body through downtown Kalamazoo and Comstock Township, followed by nearly 200 fire engines. People lined the streets to show their gratitude and respect.

The procession continued past Comstock’s three fire stations. At the River Street station, the chief’s gear and helmet were laid out on the apron while Battle Creek firefighters stood in for the local crew, showing their support even though they had never met him. They volunteered their time off to honor him, which moved many.

“It’s a great honor to cover this station for these firefighters and their chief,” said BCFD Lt. Lamar Mingle. “We’re here to show our respect and support.”

Gov. Rick Snyder ordered all U.S. and Michigan flags to be lowered to half-staff in memory of Chief Switalski, a fitting tribute to a man who dedicated his life to serving others.

Interlacing Air Jet

The interlacing air jet is the core component of the Draw Texturing Machine. In air interlacing, an air blast is used to mechanically intermingle individual yarn filaments together. The resulting interlacing knots provide the required yarn compactness. This allows higher processing speeds, resulting in improved package build and a reduced number of filament and yarn breaks during subsequent processes.

In the production and inspection of products, we strictly control the quality of raw materials. Professional staff will strictly control the dimensional tolerance of products in the production process to ensure the consistency of products. Perfect and diverse detection methods allow us to detect defects in macro and micro aspects of product.
