Second, Gio is a private enterprise and GAC is a state-owned enterprise. The restructuring of these two economic components can be difficult to imagine. Third, Gio claims that his advantage projects are pickup trucks and mini cars, but GAC has just purchased. Changfeng Motor also has the Yangtze pickup, which may be used by GAC. Southeast China Motors also has micro-cars. Can GAC find a way out for Gio?

The biggest doubt is that there was only one source for the entire incident. That was Gio Motors, and several media that had taken the lead in releasing this news all claimed to be “exclusive news”. However, the wording in the press release was almost identical. Have to make people suspect that someone is behind the operation. However, the Chairman of Gonow Motors, Mr. Yu Xuezhong personally confirmed to the media that "the two parties have signed a framework agreement." This has to be convinced that this is true.

With questions, I also asked a few of GAC Group's internal friends. They believed that since Gio Motors disclosed the matter with such fanfare, it showed that GAC and GIO had definitely contacted, but at the moment it should not be enough to talk about marriage. "The point." However, one of the friend's answers is intriguing. “It is not important whether GAC reorganizes Gio. What is important is that GAC should become the auto hegemon in South China.”

His words made me suddenly realize. South of the Yangtze River is one of the largest auto sales markets. All domestic automobile groups are eyeing this, and GAC Group, which is a “land snake,” will naturally not tolerate other people on their sites. Since GAC wants to be the “South Tyrant,” any auto companies that restructure and acquire South China are reasonable and understandable.

Standing on the GAC Group's "South China map" perspective, Gio has a high acquisition value: On the one hand, Guangzhou Automobile can gain the opportunity to quickly enter the mini vehicle sector; on the other hand, Guangzhou Automobile can also take the opportunity to stretch its tentacles to the most developed economy. This is also the traditional sphere of influence of the SAIC Group. In this analysis, the expansion strategy of GAC Group has become very clear: Northward, reorganizing Changfeng Automobile, incidentally putting GAC FIAT joint venture project in Changsha; eastward, acquiring Fiat Automotive's part project in Hangzhou, and waiting for an opportunity to purchase southeast China Automobiles and Gonow Automotive; at its headquarters in Guangzhou, it has four major vehicle bases: Guangzhou Automobile Honda, Guangzhou Automobile Toyota Motor, Guangzhou Automobile Passenger Vehicle and Guangzhou Automobile Hino Commercial Vehicle. The three major sections are each other's corners. They firmly hold the half of the Yangtze River south of the Yangtze River. The pattern of "Da Guang Qi" is ready to come.

In the near future, perhaps we will see that China’s auto industry will present a “five-pole pattern” of “East, West, South, and South China”: Northeast and North China are the sites of FAW Group, East China is the sphere of influence of SAIC, and Chang’an Group is based in the west. Dongfeng Group sticks to the middle while GAC Group dominates the South. As for Beiqi Group and Chery Automobile, both of which belong to the “four small,” they have yet to find a suitable target for restructuring and mergers.
