The Institute of Sociology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the AIG AIU Insurance Blue Book on Road Traffic Safety (hereinafter referred to as the “Blue Book”) were released in Beijing on the 8th. The study analyzed the status of China’s automobile use and road safety, and pointed out the relevant factors for increasing traffic injuries. And combined with relevant international research results, trying to provide theoretical guidance for Chinese social road safety, and provide practical guidance for driving safety.
By the end of 2013, the number of motor vehicles in China had exceeded 250 million, and the number of motorists was nearly 280 million. Among them, 137 million vehicles and 219 million motorists. At present, there are 31 cities in the country with more than 1 million vehicles. The number of cars in 8 cities including Beijing, Tianjin, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou and Hangzhou exceeds 2 million, and more than 5 million in Beijing. Car.
The study found that more than 70% of respondents believe that drunk driving, driving into reverse lanes and fatigue driving are extremely dangerous and inappropriate driving behaviors. However, experts stress that paralysis is one of the fuses of traffic accidents. The low-risk behavior does not mean that the behavior itself is not dangerous, such as taking emergency lanes, flashing headlights, not wearing seat belts, and compacting lines. Roads and bad weather driving in this survey were only considered dangerous by about 30% of respondents, but it is often because of the lack of attention to these misconducts that the road risk remains high.
The Blue Book also analyzes the influencing factors of risk driving behavior and reveals three factors that affect risk driving behavior: violation of rules, driving tension and driving anger, which means that the more you ignore the rules, the more likely you are to drive negative emotions. The more likely the respondent is, the more likely it is to drive the risk of driving and even the offensive irregularities.
In response to the survey results, the Blue Book puts forward suggestions on how to improve road traffic safety in China. It believes that education should be adopted to improve the awareness of traffic among the people, continuously improve and implement laws, regulations and technical standards, combine special rectification with comprehensive management, and improve the level of scientific research on traffic safety. Launch the whole society to improve traffic safety.
