The Oak Forest Fire Department, part of MABAS Division 24, has recently been added to the site. Located in a 5.6-square-mile area, the department operates from two fire stations and employs 28 full-time and 31 paid-on-call firefighters. Their primary fire suppression equipment is manufactured by Pierce, though they also operate an HME/Luverne engine. Most of their apparatus is painted black over red, with the exception of two ambulances that are white. However, the newest ambulance, a Lifeline model, has been painted in the same black-over-red scheme as the rest of the fleet. In addition to station and vehicle photos, Karl Klotz contributed detailed images of company decals from three of the department’s rigs. These close-ups highlight the unique branding and design elements that make the Oak Forest Fire Department easily recognizable. One image shows the decal from Engine Company 983, capturing the intricate details of the emblem. Another features a GMC Lifeline ambulance, showcasing the updated color scheme that now matches the rest of the fleet. These photos offer a closer look at the department's identity and help preserve the visual history of their emergency response vehicles.
