BMW's sales data for all cars in 2011 exposed 3 Series leading position weakened

BMW 1 Series

In 2011, the total sales volume of the BMW 1 Series was 176,418 units, a decrease of approximately 10.0% from the 196,004 units in 2010, which accounted for 12.8% of the BMW brand's total sales.

Sales volume of all categories of BMW 1 Series vehicles declined during the past year. The global sales volume of the sedan in 2011 was 20,328 units, a sharp drop of 36.4% from 31,980 units in 2010; the highest sales volume in the BMW 1 Series was a five-door sedan, and the global sales volume last year was 111,898 units.
