In response to the "Green Development Plan" proposed by the 115th Canton Fair, to better seize the industry opportunities and win the international market, Yuchai brought the YC6TD, a marine electronically controlled diesel engine successfully piloted in the North Sea in February 2014. In February of this year, the offshore fishing boats supporting two YC6TD marine electronically controlled diesel engines were stunningly presented in Beihai City in Guangxi Province and won praise. When assembling other brands of power, the maximum speed of the fishing boat is more than 9 knots, and after assembling the YC6TD, it can reach 12.5 knots and the speed is increased by more than 30%.
Over the years, Yuchai has continuously increased technological innovation and independent research and development efforts, and has obtained 39 green technology patents such as engine clean combustion technology, which has achieved a double leap in economic and ecological benefits. Its leading scientific research projects, Key Technology and Industrialization of Energy-saving and Environment-friendly Diesel Engines, and Key Technology and Engineering Application of High-pressure Supercharged Internal Combustion Engines, won the second prize of National Science and Technology Progress Award for two consecutive years.
