Zhenhua Heavy Industry made the world's largest Ferris wheel officially operated
On April 1st, Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. provided the full-steel structure of the US Las Vegas Ferris wheel "High Roller" officially operated. With a height of 167.64 meters, the Ferris wheel is the world's tallest Ferris wheel, 34 meters higher than the London Eye, overlooking Las Vegas.

Zhenhua Heavy Industry undertook the main steel structure of the Ferris wheel with a total of 2,600 tons. Its high-quality delivery was highly recognized by the project's general contractor, Fluor, USA: "In Las Vegas, this Ferris wheel is Zhenhua. The symbol of the strength of heavy steel construction, it is not only a symbol of Las Vegas, but also a symbol of the times.

The Ferris wheel was built at the end of 2011 at Zhenhua Heavy Industry Changxing Branch and it took a year and a half to complete. On the Ferris wheel, the 28 glass spherical cabins installed replace the traditional hanging chairs, which can carry up to 1,120 passengers at a time and 30 minutes for sightseeing. Its new design improves the safety of the Ferris wheel and the comfort of the passengers, but it brings great difficulties to the construction of the steel structure: not only the welding volume is large, but also up to 29,000 welds; and the welding is difficult, and welding is required. The 40-tonne wheel segment is connected to the 8-ton-weight track segment to drive the spherical cabin to rotate. Zhenhua Heavy Industry has conducted several technical discussions for this purpose, using a variety of welding methods, and finally controlling the weld precision within the specified 3 mm. The technicians involved in the construction of the project believe that the construction difficulty of the Ferris wheel is comparable to that of Zhenhua Heavy Industry's San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge, which provides all steel structures and can withstand an earthquake of magnitude 8 and has a service life of 150 years.

In addition to the construction of the main steel structure of the Ferris wheel, Zhenhua Heavy Industry also undertakes the transportation tasks of all steel structures. Since March 2012, Zhenhua Heavy Industry has sent 15 flights to the Las Vegas site. Through reasonable arrangements for shipping plans and various types of lashing programs, it has ensured that all steel structures did not appear after arriving at the US site. The situation of the sea loss.

This is the second landmark building built by Zhenhua Heavy Industry in the United States after the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. It not only proves the construction strength of Zhenhua Heavy Industry Steel Structure, but also further enhances the international popularity of Zhenhua Heavy Industry.
