Shortly before 4:00 AM on Thursday, the Wheeling Police Department received a 9-1-1 call from a homeowner reporting that their garage was on fire. Fire units from Wheeling were quickly dispatched at 4:00 AM and arrived to find the detached garage fully involved in flames. Upon arrival, the scene was upgraded to a working fire (Code 4), prompting additional resources including a tower ladder from Buffalo Grove, an ambulance from Long Grove, and an engine from Arlington Heights. At 4:07 AM, the first arriving unit found a large 16×50-foot garage used for a commercial landscape business that was fully engulfed. Command was immediately alerted to the presence of large storage drums, propane tanks, and an acetylene tank nearby, which added significant danger to the situation. Firefighters worked aggressively to control the blaze, deploying four lines to tackle the fire. The structure was completely destroyed, along with a skid-steer loader inside and at least one vehicle parked outside. The acetylene torch’s head was damaged, causing gas to burn freely and contributing to the intensity of the fire. Inside, the garage was filled with small machines, tools, and equipment typical of a landscaping business. Multiple photos captured the intense firefighting efforts, showing crews stretching supply lines, using handlines, and attacking the fire from multiple angles. A tower ladder from Buffalo Grove arrived to assist, while other units focused on controlling the spread of the flames. The fire burned intensely throughout the structure, with a van in front also catching fire. Larry Shapiro was on-site and captured several powerful images of the event. A full gallery of photos is available [here]. A video from the scene will be posted later today. This incident highlights the dangers faced by firefighters and the importance of quick response in such emergencies.

CH/CS Eccentric Assembly

CH/CS Cone Crusher

(1) CH/CS Cone Crusher is a single cylinder hydraulic structure. The equipment is designed according to heavy-duty working conditions. The main shaft is supported at the upper and lower points, and the stress conditions are good.

(2) The constant crushing chamber (CLP) design keeps the feeding and production capacity constant during the liner wear cycle, significantly reducing the operating cost.

(3) Up to ten kinds of cavity shape changes and up to four kinds of eccentricities can be set for an eccentric sleeve bushing, which greatly enhances the flexibility and adaptability of the equipment.

(4) Equipped with intelligent ore outlet adjustment system ASRI, the performance of the crusher can be maximized.

(5) Advanced liner wear monitoring and automatic compensation functions, operation data record query functions, and convenient network communication functions can significantly improve the maintenance level of equipment and optimize the coordination and control with other equipment in the system.

(6) Compared with CH type, CS type crushing chamber is higher and steeper, with larger feed inlet and larger carrying capacity. It is suitable for secondary crushing when the feed particle size is large. Its lower frame is interchangeable with CH crusher of the same specification.
